We spent spring break taking a tour of children's museums in New England, or so it seemed. The first was the Stamford Museum and Nature Center in Connecticut, which had a small farm where I could look at cows, sheep, goats, and other animals. It also has a great playground with many structures designed to look like natural structures, such as a nest to climb into, a spider web to climb up, and a long slide that, well, looks like a slide. I loved it and went down it one two one two six five one two times. The Museum part is more for grownups. Mommy says that it had a display of motorized sculptures made from found objects.
In between, we went to other playgrounds. I'm starting to learn the names of construction equipment, but mostly I just call everything a "dulldozer".
At a park in Portsmouth, I rode on a seesaw and walked over a wobbly bridge. Afterward, I sat and looked at the ocean with Daddy.
A few weeks later, we went to Mystic Seaport for Mother's Day. I liked exploring the big sailboat and running around on the gazebo (gazebos are always fun!), but the best part was blowing and chasing bubbles. And on the way home, we stopped at a nice park where I met a big girl named Erin who played with me and helped me climb up a slide. I think she was nice even though she didn't share her lunch.
I don't remember most of the rest of the ride home because I was asleep.
